ZWISCHENWELT

The performance ZwischenWelt is an immersive experience in which the audience is at the center. It is developed in an interactive laboratory about the world between life and death.

Death is not a moment. It is a process.

Scientists have found that even after cardiac arrest, consciousness remains for minutes, brain activity increases extremely and an inner universe opens up. A universe of several minutes. What happens in those minutes?

The last journey, what might it sound like, look like, smell like?

ZWISCHENWELT is a collaboration project between the audiovisual performance collective eigenklang, the theater maker Mona-Bawani Mühlhausen, the multimedia artist Gonzalo Patalagua, the Klangdom collective and the musician David Michalke, in cooperation with documenta fifteen, Sandershaus and ZukunftsDorf22.
